Fansites
I love fan websites, or fansites for short. Especially ones that are really dedicated to content (writing) and aren't just a list of fans. I wish more anime fans made good fansites for their favorite shows. Fansites can give you a lot more than something like Wikipedia can give you, like speculation, well founded opinions, theories, among other interesting things. The following is a collection of all the fansites I've personally made. I hope you enjoy them, or even get something out of them!
Nirai Kanai Online
My favorite of all the websites I've done. It's completely dedicated to the anime series RahXephon. It features an extensive story and ending FAQ, image galleries, and character profiles. I put a lot of effort and time into making the website and writing all that content. I hope it shows.
My Urd Fansite (No Longer Updating)
This was a gateway to experiment with some new designs I wanted to try out. I love Urd (Ah! My Goddess) very much, but I decided to not update the site anymore as there's only so much I could write about Urd considering I haven't read much of the manga. The TV series is a great source for material, but I don't feel like getting burned out just yet. It's too silly for me right now, I guess. Maybe I'll just turn it into an image gallery one of these days.
Planetes Fansite (Unfinished)
I intend to finish this site one day! I do! So please excuse the tacky design, I just haven't been inspired to design anything for it yet. I plan to make character pages and manga/anime comparisons and everything. So it's coming soon... I just wish I could tell you how soon.
My First Fansite
Haha, check out my very first website. I made this almost 10 years ago! It was made with Geocities' "PageBuilder" program. Don't even look at the code, it's a huge mess! What the program did is that they used absolute positioning with everything. This allowed a newbie like myself (back then) to simply drag and drop anything you wanted on the website, and that's how it showed up most of the time. I look back fondly at that crappy website as that was a stepping stone for where I am now.
