This is the official Anime General Board anime awards website. For members of the IGN Boards only!
Every year the members of the AGB gather (some unwillingly =P) to cast a vote for the anime they think were outstanding for that year. We've been doing these little anime awards for a little over 4 years now, with only the recent three being properly documented. This is the second year we're going to do it using this website. Other than nominations being done manually by Firefly_Fan, the actual voting will be done using the polls that EyeballToothball scripted.
If you would like to particpate, simply become a regular at the anime general board over at the IGN Boards and we'll hook you up. Contact either Firefly_Fan or DanielJr to get your account setup or if you can't remember your password.

So, this is me just saying hi and testing this for my own sake. But as previously noted by Dan there, I'm running things this year around. Kudos to him for letting me borrow this site. I promise not to break anything.

Due to a new job and other obligations, I will not be doing the AGB Awards this year. Firefly_Fan will be handling it this time around. I will still update the results on this website once it's over, though. So please look forward to that.

Most of the nominations are now up. The Tie-Breaker thread has less than 12 hours left, so I'll be posting the remaining nominees tomorrow.
It looks like the polls will start on Monday. I'm thinking 2 weeks for voting should be more than enough.

Preparing early for the 2007 Awards. The theme for this year is BLUE! Like it? Good? Oh, you don't?? Well, that's too bad, I guess. The characters in the banner are Eureka and Renton from Bandai Entertainment's Eureka Seven. I'll be preparing the list for 2007 in the upcoming days. For now, I think the site is about ready to start again.

The 2005 Awards page is done. And so is most of the general tidy-up that Toothball did. All we're missing now is the display of the results when the polls are done, and fixing the dates. So by the end of this week the site will be ready to go live!

After spending a few hours with Toothball yesterday, we got most of the site up and running. It's magic I tell ya! Now we're just working on some minor things, but most of the site is ready to go. All I have to do now is put in every member, PM them with their password, and finish up converting the 2005 Awards into a more PHP compatible file (putting slashes before each quotation mark, a bit of monotonous work). After that, it's rockin' roll.
